The problem we want to solve is having ice on your windshield. This is a problem that is always annoying, requiring you to wait inside the car with the heater and defogger on in order to get rid of the ice. This has made me almost get late to school many times, and has caused many headaches for us. We want to provide a solution that makes getting the ice off your windshield take less than 5 minutes. This solution should also be able to be stored in the trunk of a car easily. It should also be simple to use. To solve this problem, we have thought of using a type of wiper that can scrape the ice off of your car’s windshield. The wiper would also be able to release a liquid that gets rid of the ice as well so the user does not apply too much force on the windshield. To meet all of these standards, we made the Ice Scraper.

How it works:

It has two rubber handles( in case you needed both hands to scrape off the ice), metal triangles to help grip the ice, and secretes a liquid solution that melts ice.

TAM, SAM, SOM:

TAM- At least 25% of the world lives in the snow.

SAM- At least 50% of those are from North America.

SOM- 50% is the least we want to take(4,930,000,000 people)

Pricing:

We would sell an Ice Scraper for $20, and a refill for the solution for $4. This way, the Ice Scraper can be bought by pretty much anyone, and the solution as well.

Market Point of Sale:

People would like our product because they would not need to apply as much brute force with our Ice Scraper, than they would another type of scraper. Not to mention, selling the Ice Scraper for $20 means that it is between the extra fancy scrapers( that still require brute force but have snow brushes), and the cheaper ones( that also require brute force and don’t have snow brushes). This way, anyone can buy an Ice Scraper if they need one.

Packaging:

We would package the Ice Scrapers in a rectangular box that has the name “Ice Scraper” on it with a picture of the Ice Scraper on the box. This way, people can see what they are buying. We would keep our phone number, website information, and a brief description of our product on the sides of the boxes( the information would be split to both sides[Ex: If the description is on one side, it won’t be on the other as well]).
